Farewell Winter 2023 & BHP Rd Now Open to Omeo!
Now the winter is over, we reflect on the 2023 season with many happy memories! While it may have ended before we hoped, we still had some fantastic early snow fall, a whole lot of sunny spring days, a full events calendar and plenty of great moments in the village. The Big June Storm
We started the season strong with just shy of 1 metre average snow depth before the start of the June school holidays as well as the official opening of our magic carpet at the Windy Corner Toboggan Park which was FREE for everyone to enjoy!
An Events Calendar to Remember
From Slope Style to Rail Jams, Ice Plunges, Après Parties, Soccer Games on Snow with Olympian Britt Cox, Gay Ski Week and everything in between, we delivered a MASSIVE events calendar of fun for all! It’s safe to say we packed a whole lot of fun into the season this year!
BHP Road towards Omeo is now OPEN!
While we didn't get the late season snow fall to keep the resort open until the official end of season, the great news is we have re-opened the Bogong High Plains Road between Falls Creek and Trapyard Gap early this year. The operations team have been working hard to ensure this road is cleared allowing access to Falls Creek from Mitta and Omeo. We are looking forward to welcoming our Eastern and Gippsland communities back to the resort.
