Grinduro Australia Postponed Until 2021
Today Falls Creek Resort Management, in conjunction with Grinduro Global, announced the decision to postpone the Grinduro Australia gravel race to December 2021. The event, originally scheduled for December 5th 2020, was to be the first of its kind in Australia, joining an exceptional global series. Blending traditional gravel grinding with MTB enduro racing and a huge post-race festival, Grinduro has taken the cycling world by storm with its unique format.
Falls Creek Resort Management had postponed launching ticket sales under the continuing pandemic and today made the decision to push back the event one year. Falls Creek Event Supervisor, Nick Buckley explained the core reason for postponing the event was one of community safety.
“Despite our best efforts, Falls Creek Resort Management made the difficult decision to postpone the Grinduro Australia event until December 2021. We know how disappointed our riders, sponsors and community will be. It was a decision we have reached in conjunction with the Grinduro Global family. Knowing we have to keep people safe first and foremost, it’s clear to everyone that unfortunately, now is not the time to host this amazing event.”

We prefer to offer this unforgettable experience in 2021 in the way that it should be enjoyed” notes Buckley.Rest assured, Grinduro Australia is going to be bigger, better and more epic on December 4th 2021

We’ve mapped out the most spectacular gravel riding route in the High Country, lined up stunning local flavours for hungry racers to feast on, and are planning a post-event party to end all parties. With additional time we can now deliver an even greater experience to the riders.
Falls Creek Alpine Resort is temporarily closed under the regional Victoria Stage 3 restrictions.
