Tobogganing
Tobogganing is a perfect option that gives the unique thrill of racing down a hill on snow. Falls Creek features a large tobogganing slope at Windy Corner with day car parking located nearby. The Magic Carpet Operates Thursday-Sunday with bookings and $10 payment required for each 50 minute session. No bookings or payment required on Monday-Wednesday. Every Tuesday night from 3.30pm – 5pm, the Village Bowl is party central for kids and adults alike.
With fire pits, marshmallows, games, samples and more – it is the BEST place to be to get all the info on what is on this week at Falls Creek. Pete the Snowdragon always makes an appearance for a boogie with the kids!
Snowshoeing
Explore the High Country and Falls Creek’s unique alpine environment on snowshoes. Snowshoes are easy to use and offer a unique way to access spectacular views and locations rarely seen by most visitors. A number of rental options are available, plus dedicated trail maps at Windy Corner.
Fireworks Fiesta
Thursday nights are coming alive this winter with the Fireworks Fiesta. Grab the kids or a mate and cap off your day by watching a magical fireworks show under the stars. See the show from the comfort of your accommodation, or get up close to the action and head to the Village Bowl near the Frying Pan Inn.
Falls Creek Museum
The Falls Creek Museum is a fascinating step back in time to celebrate the rich diversity and history of the resort. The perfect bad-weather activity for the family, head to the Panabode building next to Halleys Comet chair in Slalom Plaza. Entry is free with gold coin donation greatly appreciated.
Cross Country Skiing
Cross country skiing is perfect for an adventurous family day out, and lets you explore more of our beautiful alpine environment by gliding on fast corduroy trails or venturing to new off-piste terrain in the Alpine National Park. The free trail network starts at Windy Corner, where you can find parking, equipment rental and lessons for your xc adventure.
