Peaks Challenge Weekend Road Closures and Village Access Arrangements

Falls Creek Alpine Resort wishes to advise the community that there will be the following road closures and changes to parking time limits for PEAKS CHALLENGE Falls Creek. This is to prevent congestion in the village, allowing emergency service access and safety at event locations.

Falls Creek Village:
The following village access arrangements will be in place from 8am Friday 8th March until 12pm Monday 11th March:

• Parking in the village will be half an hour only, except for Red Authorised, Residents, and Emergency Service Permit Holders.
• All long term parking will be below the village as signed.
• The strip of car parks immediately outside FoodWorks will be blocked off. The all-access space will remain available all weekend.
• If you park in Windy Corner Day and/or overnight, you will not be able to move your vehicle from 12pm – 8:30pm on Sunday 10th March due to the road closure.

The Accommodation Transfer Service (ATS) will be operational during the following times:

• Friday March 8th: 12pm – 12am
• Saturday March 9th: 8am – 6pm
• Sunday March 10th: 5am – 8pm
• Monday March 11th: 8am – 12pm

Slalom Street:
Slalom Street will be closed for the following times:

• 8am Thursday March 7th until 5pm Monday March 11th, from Snowgum Lane to the junction with Christie Street.
• 8am Friday March 8th to 8am Monday March 11th, from Bogong High Plains Road to the junction with Christie Street.

Temporary Road Closures – Junior Peaks
The Junior Peaks Race will be held between 12pm and 1pm on Sunday the 10th of March.
This will involve the following road closures:

• Slalom Street, Schuss Street, Parallel Street
  Sunday March 10th: 11:00am – 1:30pm
